COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES

Please read the updated guidelines, precautions, and safety measures The Sports Academy will be enforcing to make our facility as safe as possible. 

Players/Participants/Coaches/Trainers/Spectators

  • TSA is requiring all spectators, staff, and participants to wear a mask while in general areas of the facility.
  • Prior to entering the building, all persons must self-certify that they are not exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms by answering the following screening questions. If you cannot certify all of these things to be true, you are not allowed access into TSA.
    • You have not had a fever, without the use of fever reducing medication, for 24 hours. Per CDC guidelines, a fever consists of either:
      • Having a temperature of 100.4 or greater OR
      • Feeling warm to the touch, feeling feverish or flushed, or having chills or a flushed face.
    • You have confirmed that you do not have a fever.
    • You have not had a cough that has persisted for over a month and has worsened in frequency, severity, intensity or in any other way.
    • You do not have
      • New cough
      • Muscle aches (unrelated to normal physical exercise/activity)
      • Recent loss of taste or smell
    • You are not feeling shortness of breath nor having difficulty breathing in a way that is not normal for you.
    • To your knowledge, you have not had exposure to a person who has a tested positive for COVID-19 or been instructed to self-quarantine in the past 14 days.
    • You are not under a self-quarantine order from a healthcare provider.
    • You have not tested positive for COVID-19, or if you have tested positive, initial symptoms were exhibited more than 14 days ago.
  • Frequent hand washing/sanitization is highly encouraged.

 

 

 

Players/Participants

  • May enter the facility 5 minutes prior to training time.
  • Must wear a mask prior to and immediately after the training session.
  • May remove mask while training.
  • Should have personal hand sanitizer for use before training, after training, and as necessary during training.
  • Must bring their own source of water and not share with others.
  • Training groups should remain static and with no mixing with other groups prior to and following the training session.
  • No handshakes or high fives before, during, and after training.
  • Participants should avoid touching facility accessories, such as benches, goal post, walls, and scoreboard to the greatest extent possible.
  • Substitutes shall remain socially distanced.
  • Should space soccer bags 6 feet away from others’ personal belongings.
  • Must depart expeditiously at the conclusion of the training session.

 

Coaches/Trainers

  • Must wear a mask prior to, during, and immediately after the training session.
  • May remove mask IF maintaining a 6 foot distance from all other persons during the training session.
  • May address training group for a maximum of 5 minutes at the conclusion of the training. This may be done on the field with social distancing observed.  Mask can be removed during this time if observing social distance guidelines.
  • Ensure all participants observe social distancing, put on masks, grab personal belongings, and expeditiously exit playing area following the training session.
  • No handshakes or high fives before, during, and after training with participants.

 

 

 

Spectators

  • May enter the facility 5 minutes prior to training time.
  • Must remain in a specific, clearly marked area while observing the training. Each clearly marked area (Pod) will allow for sufficient social distancing between other spectators.
  • May remove mask while inside of their Pod so long as the other people in the Pod are immediate family members; however, TSA strongly encourages masks be worn at all times.
  • Must wear a mask while outside of their Pod. For instance, while entering/exiting the facility and using the restrooms.
  • Must adhere to social distancing protocol with other spectators outside of their immediate family.
  • Must bring their own chair if choosing to sit.
  • Must depart expeditiously at the conclusion of the training session.
  • Any individual 65 and older or any individual with an underlying at-risk health condition(s) are advised to not enter TSA.
