Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What type of shoes can/should I wear?
A: We recommend, in this order: flat indoor soccer shoes, turf shoes, tennis shoes. CLEATS ARE NOT ALLOWED.

Q: How long are rental times?
A: Rental times are five minutes less than the total time allotted. This allows for a smooth transition between field activities. For instance, a one hour rental provides you 55 minutes on the field. An hour and a half rental provides you with an hour and 25 minutes on the field and so on.

Q: What is the ruling at TSA for Player Sharing in Youth Games?
A: Player sharing is discouraged but allowed based on the following 3 rules:
•Every player must be rostered on ONE team
•Players must be from the same club
•We recommend players guest playing for teams a maximum of 2 games per session

Q: Is there a membership fee to play on a team?
A: No. You’re only fee is the fee for your team to join the league.

Q: Do we have to pay the referee’s at games?
A: No. Referee fees are included in your league fee.

Q: What if we cannot attend a game that is scheduled? 
A: You must give TSA 24 hours notice. The game will then be a forfeit and the team scheduled to play you will get the field for a scrimmage. If you do not give us 24 hours notice, you will receive a yellow card. If you receive your 2nd yellow, you receive a red card and you will no longer be allowed to play at TSA.

Q: In the winter, what if we run into bad weather/ice?
A: We rarely cancel, as we are an indoor facility. However, you can call TSA 618.288.6899 or check the website for cancelations due to weather issues.

Q: When did the facility change from The Game to The Sports Academy?
A: In February of 2010, the facility went under new ownership and changed names, as well as management.

Q: How do I sign a team up for a league?
A: You can go to the website and click on the ‘click here to register’ on the homepage. Then, find your division and click on ‘Register Online’. 

Q: When I try to sign up online, it wants me to pay the full amount. Do I have to?
A: No. You can click on the dollar amount box at the bottom of the sign up page and change it to whatever you like. We do, however, require a $100 deposit.

Q: How do we get our Schedule?
A: Go to the website and click on the link on the left that says Schedule/Standings. You can view your Schedule and Standings from there.

Q: How are the referees?
A: We have outsourced our referee team to Dan Lusicic. He does all scheduling of referees and they are required to be certified and dress appropriately, adding professionalism to your experience at TSA.

Q: Do you serve concessions/beer/food?
A: In early January of 2011, we will open The Stadium, which will serve beer, food, and concessions.

Q: Are there video games?
A: Yes. In early January of 2011, we will be opening a brand new arcade by the entrance, to the right.
