Juniors Soccer League
Games are played on Sunday afternoons

The Sports Academy started a Juniors program in 2011 for the areas youngest players. Our program gives each team 24 minutes of soccer skills training with Elite FT staff. The teams will then play a 24 minute game on one half of the field. Boards are set up at midfield to simulate a true indoor game with field and goal sizes more age appropriate. This is a co-ed league.

Juniors 1
Begins the week
after Thanksgiving
$600 per team - 8 games

Juniors 2
Begins February 19th
Games primarily on Sundays, with occasional weeknight games

*Bonus - Teams playing in both Session 1 and Session 2 will receive a 10% discount on Session 2!

TEAM ROSTER

The Juniors League at The Sports Academy, run by Elite FT, gives our youngest athletes the best of both worlds. Each team receives professional training with an Elite Trainer for 24 minutes, prior to playing a league game for 24 minutes (two 12-minute halves). These games are instructional, meaning there will be a referee who will help teach, not just ref the game.

The League
• There will be a Kindergarten and 1st Grade Division
• All leagues will be coed

The Game
• The game will consist of two 12-minute halves
• Teams will switch goals that they defend at halftime
• 5v5 + GK
• A futsal ball will be used for better ball control

Coaching
• A coach is allowed to be on the field, but he/she must stay out of both goal boxes
• There must be a coach monitoring players on the bench, or there cannot be a coach on the field
• Subbing can be made on the fly or at natural stoppages of play

Goal Keepers
• The goal keeper box is the actual box on the east end of the facility (no arc) and the half circle on the west end of the building
• Goal Keeper is allowed to throw or drop kick the ball

Out-of-bounds
• All boards are in play
• The ball is out of bounds when it goes beyond the cones on the west end of the field. Play will resume with a goal kick or corner kick
